A new friend I met at S&L day was 5th on the "re-housing" list last Sunday. Her husband is in jail and she is working while caring for her 3 young children. Her apartment manager continues to threaten her. Rapid re-housing can help.

It may be hard for some of us to imagine that, "Three of every one hundred students in Oregon is considered homeless as of September, 2010." I do not "see" them in Tigard like in down town Portland. increasing student homelessness in Beaverton (oregonlive.com)

This article describes a trend of increasing homelessness of teens and children in the suburbs. Beaverton Or has organized and is providing services to their students. Their numbers reveal the greatest increase of homeless in WA County. It could be simply because there are services for the students, therefore the students come forward. But what about Tigard OR? How are we serving the homeless children? Are we "living justice"?
